"Dear Lukendra,
This email is to say many thanks for an extremely well organized trek. We booked our trip from Kolkata. Unsure of which company to book with we contacted a number of the companies listed in Lonely Planet. We selected Sikkim Tours and Travels because of their very prompt and efficient response to our enquiry. From the word go communications between us and Lukendra were excellent, and he was able to answer all of our queries / questions very promptly. The arrangements ran like clockwork (including collecting us from Darjeeling and delivering us to Yuksom - the start of the Goechela Trek). We were a little surprised at the size of our 'entourage' (guide, cook, 3 porters and hand yak handler) - but in a country where the average wage is around 85 rupees a day, trekking is an important source of employment for young men, our men were all excellent and utterly reliable. The company was able to make additional travel arrangements and assist with permits etc.
Although the trekking route can get a little busy, the country is stunning and the views of the mountains fantastic. If we have one complaint about our trek it is that we were overfed - but that is probably not a bad complaint as complaints go! We would recommend this company really strongly (and our experience was much better than that of other trekkers we met who had booked with one particular trekking company in Gangtok that offers cheaper treks). We had a great 10 days!"

"Dear Lukendra,
We had a great time and really enjoyed the scenery. Your team was fantastic and the food was great - although You live in a beautiful part of the world with very kind people and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a small part of it all. We both loved the Yumthang Valley, one of the most beautiful spots we've seen so far. Bart was glad he caught a glimpse of the Khangchendzonga, he was very enthusiastic about that.

sometimes it came at strange times of the day i.e. 9.30 for lunch at Dzongri. The equipment was good although I think the sleeping bags might need Some drying to improve their warmth. We decided to come down a day early as we had finished with Goechala By breakfast and could make it to Tsoka by dinner. That day was hard but worth while as we were warm again and met up with some friends that we had met earlier in the trek. So thank you for your trip and to the team. I will be spreading the Word about Sikkim as soon as we get home - it was certainly our favorite place that we visited in India."

"Hi Lukendra!,
Britt and I enjoyed the trek very much. The staff was very professional and had excellent attitudes. (The one exception was the yakman, who was apparently drinking before getting gored by one of the yaks.)The food was excellent and the gear was in good shape. (One suggestion is to bring umbrellas for trekkers who lack or forget them.)"

"I just wanted to thank you for your company's excellent service. I enjoyed the trek tremendously, and Madan and the porters really took good care of me when I injured my knee. When I got to Darjeeling and had to face the hordes of tourists and the town's hustle and bustle, I really miss the Dzongri-Goechala trail."

This is just a brief note to say how much I enjoyed our recent trek to Goecha-la with your company. It was extremely well organized and i was very impressed with Sanjeev who is very knowledgeable and looked after us very well. The food also was fantastic. I want to thank you also for organizing a birthday party for me. It’s one I will never forget! The delicious cake, the beautiful scarf and the fantastic dinner- it was such a great start to the trek. We are all putting together a review of the trek which you should receive soon. Already I have recommended your company to many friends.Once again thank you very much."
