Simgalila Trek - Can be customised

Day 1 Pick up Bagdogra drive Gangtok -1600 meters, 4 hours, 125 kms.
Day 2 Local Sightseeing Tour around Gangtok including Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery, Institute of Tibetology, Banjhakri Falls. Flower Show, Cottage industry. Before breakfast bird walk around Gangtok for 2 hours in the morning. We expect to spot about 20 species of birds.
Day 3 Day trip to Tsongo Lake-3757 meters, 34 kms. Also visit Kyongsla Alpine Sanctuary which comes before Tsongo Lake. If lucky enough, Satyr Tragopan and Himalayan Monal can be seen beside other resident birds.
Day 4 Gangtok drive to Uttarey-2320 meters, via Pelling. 6-7 hours. 135kms, app. Enroute visit Rabangla Monastery, Buddha park. Further drive to Pelling visit Pemayangtse Monastery. Drive off to Uttarey.
Day 5 Uttarey trek to Chitrey -2600 meters appox.). 5 hours, 7kms.
Day 6 Chitrey -Chewabhangyang -3142 meters, 2 hours, 3kms.halt for acclimatization and excursion around including that of Phoktey Dara where you can see mount Everest in a clear weather.
Day 7 Chewa Bhanjyang trek Sikkim Megu, 5 hours.
Day 8 Sikkim Megu Trek to Dhoor -3696 meters, 5 hours.
Day 9 Dhoor - trek Phedang Dara,3897 meters 4-5 hours.
Day 10 Phedang Dara trek Lampokhari, 4-5 hours. 3900, 10 kms.
Day 11 Lampokhari trek Gomathang-3696 meters, 5-6 hours. 12kms.
Day 12 Gomathang trek Pangding -4212 meters/Teg Yapla. 7 hours.
Day 13 Pangding trek Dzongri-4030 meters, 9 kms. . 4-5 hours.
Day 14 Dzongri halt for rest.
Day 15 Dzongri trek Thangsing-3900 meters, 8 kms, 4 hours.
Day 16 Thangsing trek Lamuni-4120 meters, 6 kms. 3 hours.
Day 17 Lamuni trek Goechala -4940 meters, back to Thangsing. 8 hours, 13 kms.
Day 18 Thangsing trek Tshokha. -3000 meters, 16kms, 5 hours.
Day 19 Tshokha trek Yuksom-1740 meters, 12kms. 5 hours.
Day 20 Yuksom drive Darjeeling. 5 hours.
Day 21 Early morning visit Tiger Hill later visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Institute of Mountaineerig, Zoo. Rest.
Day 22 Darjeeling drive to Bagdogra, 94kms, 3 hours.

Trek Requirements

1 Most of the beautiful tourist destination in Sikkim falls in high altitude areas. Bring in warm clothes.
2 If you are visiting for trekking purposes, warm down jacket, good hiking shoes, pairs of warm shocks, woolen cap, sun glasses, walking pole, water bottle, down feather sleeping bag, rain gears are some of the items one should give full attention and bring along.
3 Bring along copies of passport size photos, copies of passport, Visa Copy and Sikkim Permit.
4 Domestic Tourist must carry one of the photo identity documents: voter ID/Passport/Government issued photo identity proof/driving licence/school identity card.
5 Every trekker must have been insured.
6 Individual interested in trekking must be physically and mentally fit.
7 Permit is issued to minimum of two foreigners.
