Sikkim is a botanist paradise which has 4000 species of flowering plants in various altitude. 39 species of Rhododendrons, 558 orchids species, blue poppy, alpine flowers, Primulas, wild flowers which bloom throughout the year. Rhodendron start to bloom from low region with specific specie around 6000 feet and continues with different species which stretches to around 15,000 feet with the change in season and altitude. Most orchids such as cymbidiums bloom in the month of October-November and the spring. Whereas during the monsoon, dendrobium are common in the Sikkim forest. Other species bloom from winter to spring. As the snow begins to melt alpine region of Sikkim starts to get Primulas sprouting during the month of March onwards.
