Sikkim Tours and Travels which was established in the year 87-88 is one of the oldest and first travel company to have been recognized by the Government of Sikkim. Registered and recognized as “Grade ‘A’ Tour operator” by the department of Tourism, Government of Sikkim and approved and recognized as inbound tour operator by the ministry of Tourism, Government of india. Department of Tourism, Government of Sikkim awarded the company as "Best Adventure Tour Operator in the year 2007". Further on, Government awarded “Best Management of Camp Site, Special Award for the promotion of Bird watching in Sikkim.

Company focuses on eco-friendly, client safety, quality based trekking, bird watching, botanical and photography tours, Beside these tours, it also operates Mountain Biking, Mountain Expedition, Eco-Tourism, monastic dance tours including that of customized tours. Students and children camping and hiking with soft adventure activities. Corporate activities and conferences too is undertaken.

The team comprises of well trained, educated, polite, caring, children and senior citizen friendly people who have involved themselves in supporting the management for past many years. Most senior trekking guides, kitchen staff and other participate in providing required quality services together with quality equipments.

Lukendra, man behind the company is the pioneer of tourism in Sikkim- some time referred as reformist. One of the founders of Travel Association of Sikkim which got the massive boost on his being in different posts including Publicity Secretary, Treasurer, General Secretary and President. contributed whole heartedly in Sikkim's Tourism Master Plan. Campaigner for responsible tourism also conducted birdlife and its conservation programme in collaboration with Sikkim Development Foundation and Sikkim Ornithological Society as part of "Camp Sikkim" children’s value and environmental education programme.

As a Project Director, conducted the capacity building training for the North East Region comprising eight states for a period of one year successfully for more than 300 tourism aspirants. He supported the Village Tourism Concept, Paragliding, Eco-tourism which are doing extremely well.
